What influencer vetting means

Influencer vetting is the review that happens after a creator has been identified and before a partnership progresses. It answers three questions: is the creator genuinely relevant to this brand, does their sponsored content hold attention, and are there potential risks that need human review?

Vetting is different from discovery. Discovery asks who to consider. Vetting asks whether this specific creator should progress with this specific brand — which is why the same creator can be a strong match for one brand and a weak one for another.

When to vet a creator

Run the check once a creator is on the table and before negotiations, rate discussions or budget commitments begin. That is the point where a poor match is still cheap to walk away from, and where a documented rationale is most useful internally.

What Check My Influence analyses

Brand side: the brand website is analysed for positioning, category and public voice, alongside any additional brand or campaign context you provide.

Creator side: public platform data for the single creator you enter — content themes and formats, engagement, posting cadence, growth signals, detected sponsored content and paid-content resilience, plus potential safety signals in the sampled content.

How the report supports a decision

The report returns an overall fit score, a fit tier, a proceed / test / hold / pass verdict and a confidence level, followed by the fit thesis, reasons to proceed, reasons for hesitation, content and format alignment, sponsored-content history, paid-content resilience, performance ranges, potential safety signals, campaign shape, the conditions affecting the verdict and a recommended next move.

Because every report follows the same structure, two creators reviewed weeks apart are assessed the same way — which makes the reasoning easier to compare and easier to defend internally.

What the product does not assess

It is not a discovery database, a campaign-management platform or a substitute for influencer-marketing expertise. It does not assess audience demographics or audience overlap, and it does not predict sales, revenue or conversions.

Safety output is potential-signal detection across the sampled content. It supports human review rather than guaranteeing brand safety or providing complete reputational due diligence.

Supported platforms

Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. One creator profile URL per report. Each platform is scored with its own structural model, because the signals that matter differ between short-form feeds and long-form video.

Methodology

Structural scores are calculated deterministically from platform data. The AI interprets that evidence and is clamped by the server to within 15 points of the structural baseline; it cannot invent the underlying metrics and cannot reduce an existing structural safety concern. Confidence reflects the available sample size, and forecasts stay inside the creator's demonstrated historical range.
